A rare opprtunity for us to work on a new build, create a warm and inviting space for a short term rental in wine country. We turned two three bedroom units into dreamy and inviting spaces for all.
Updating what we called the Love Boat from a 70s block, to a chic modern beach home. Adding generous decks outside for long nights of entertaining.
While the home was only 3 years old, it required a major electrical re-hab along with general updates to the interior and landscape. Making the views from outside part of the interior was key.
The barrel house is just that, a barrel. Built in the shape of an oversized wine barrel, with natural light flowing through from every direction, the renovation of this historic structure has been overwhelmingly fulfilling. Energy remains calm and surrounds you in every inch of this amazing space.
Some projects are both a passion and can be the most trying. Organic living is something we are very big on, even going out to create our own sustainable organic furniture line. Helping update the first structure on this farm so that the family can really bring this land back to its former glory taught us that patience is a virtue when your vendors don't generally go that far. But, we are getting it done!
This mid century simple beauty had so many walls and visual distractions added over the years that getting back down to the bones and finding its inner beauty was very rewarding. Making it appear that the roof was gently laid on top of the frame, left floating above the black walls and transom windows.
After purchasing their Malibu home, we stepped in to help this family create their vision. Updating the outdated look that had started as a Mediterranean but had turned into a mish mash of styles including southwestern Indian. Removing odd walls and updating colors brought this beauty back to Santa Barbara style calmness.
While many updates to this already spectacular home were made, taking it from the Tuscan sponge yellow to the modern Greek Villa white immediately made a huge impact. New floors, new counters, new paint and a lot of love made this more Montecito than Mediterranean.
